Just like the scientist attempts to prove theories of our physical existence, so should we be like scientists with life. We should focus on trying to prove spiritual theories. Why concentrate on money, fame, glory and endless desires that never satisfy? At old age we see the result. They are deceptive mistresses. Instead we should give all our extra energy to experimenting with any and all theories that that promise to free us from the endless cycles of duality, a little joy and great despair, the illusion of life and death.

If the masters of India say they know a way to realize God why not test it? Could the result be any less disappointing than the path of deceptive matter? Burned out nerves, shattered hopes and dreams, premature disease, forsaken loved ones? It is inescapable. Old age homes are filled with examples, so why follow what has brought misery to all who have pursued it?

Why not, between the demands of reasonable responsibility, seek with all our fervor and enthusiasm, the riddle of God Himself; that which hides behind the cosmic disguise He has so skillfully crafted?

Why follow the billions to the gloomy edge of certain despair and death, while the ancient scriptures promise a way to immortality? What have we lost if we try? Nothing earthly outside ourselves can prove the divine. We have not believed those who have returned to tell us. Even if a miracle was perfomed before us we would doubt. The eye was not designed to prove spirit, but only define the limits for which it cannot see beyond. We must find the truth for ourselves within as a conviction of the all-seeing soul. Only by the ultimate experiment can we hope to find it.

The story is as old as recorded time: we will continue to return life after life, each concluded in misery, until we realize this and finally change our course. Why hasten salvation? Why not begin now?

What about children who get sick?

How do they have the development to learn these subtle lessons?
This is a karmic lesson from a past life, either for something they have done, or to learn what disease teaches, which is to treat the body as a temple. A sick child may have (in a previous or several past lives) abused their body physically. This lesson (as many are) is also tied to others and their lessons. Parents who have a sick child are forced to their heart center and learn the importance of love and compassion. In this way we are all connected in healing.

The Emporer has clothes, they just don’t fit

For years I set goals, created lists and treasure maps with pictures and the whole thing. I wrote it all out in amazing detail, but there was one problem. They were false goals. I used every technique, yet most of them never came true. Why? Because they did not represent my truth. They were money desires, someone elses version of who I thought I should be – ego identifications from past lives in which I had already accomplished these things and realized their emptiness without substance and love. And here I was still trying to repeat them again.

My saving grace was I was open to learn. If I could have one thing, this would be it. Even though I was deluded I could be taught. That was an opening to a way out for me. Eventually, I realized my life mission this time was to succeed in spiritual things, confront fears, heal hurts, change stubborn self-limiting beliefs, live simply with peace and creative passion, but I fought it, who I was and why I came here, tooth and nail. Yet with each failure and disappointment I was slowly chipping away at self-delusion and on the road to real success that eluded me.

Some people come into a lifetime to make money. Thats okay. Their goals are material oriented and that is what they are this time around. I think about them when I see one of those executive style motivation speakers. I would watch with a mixture of jelousy and pity. I’d see the testimonials of people dressed in a suit who had made millions and asked “why not me”. Hey, they saw someone else, asked why not me and did it. Why not me? Because that wasn’t me. I simultaneously realized the folly of the buck, but still hankered for one. I had more work to do.

Material acheivers are often at a lower rung learning a dual lesson – to use the will and mind to achieve on a smaller scale and that things never satisfy the soul. Often, this takes many lifetimes. I was sort of on this cusp where I realized this, but still had a taste for the finer things.

Whatever it is, you have to find out what you are this time, what your agenda is and dive in. It takes the most successful person to recognize what their real deal is in this life. That is the most difficult thing. Nothing is wrong with having stuff, but let it come out of who you are, what you do, what your gift and learning agenda is. When you work to improve you, the gates to receiving open on their own. Getting becomes effortless, a natural flow. There are no shortcuts. Its hard work, but you are better prepared to know what you want when you know who you are – when you know self.

Restoring Your Soul Balance: connecting the dots to wellness

Healing is multi-dimensional. Tools like crystals, stones, amulets, herbs and others may relieve symptoms temporarily, but the real healing occurs in a wider spiritual recognition. Everything pushes us to acknowledge wholeness and how we and everything is connected. The goal is to find balance in all we do. Look at the conditions of your life. Examine your beliefs, feelings, emotions. Where are the conflicts? Where are you out of balance? An illness or condition that manifests in the body is a red flag. It is trying to tell you something is out of natural synch. Indeed issues do manifest in tissues. But the body is not destined to break down into disease. Spiritual masters in India can live well over a hundred years, perfectly healthy until passing. They are willing exits instead of evicted ones. The same wellness secret is available to you if you choose.

All physical problems are teachers, whether simple aches and pains or something more serious and challenging. Whatever it is, when the lesson is learned it will heal. Use all means at your disposal to treat the problem. Use homeopathy, herbs, meditation, stones, crystals, prayer. See a physician. This is not a step down. Often, we do not have sufficient faith to materialize healing and need to include this conventional approach, but we must treat more than just the symptoms – we must treat the cause.

Ask the Universe what it is this condition is meant to teach you.
Dive into this teaching and you will find the answer. Don’t think of it as school. Think about it as the ultimate treasure hunt – an exciting adventure; one that will reveal to you the one great prize sought by the wise, kings and fools for ages untold – true happiness, health and abundance.

The keys are simple. Ask, do you have unresolved anger, guilt, fear or other issues? Do you enjoy your work? Are you too money focused? Not taking time for fun and things you love? Do you live a healthy lifestyle, eat right and exercise? Do you take quiet time for reflection, self-nurturing? What you want to discover, though difficult and painful, is real insight into who you are and why you really think and act the way you do. This is a gateway to spirit, because it is multi-dimensional. You are getting into your levels; it is layered living and that is the essence of Spirit. This is the essence of you.

Once you begin to connect to Spirit through dedication to self-knowledge, understanding and wisdom, you honor yourself in mind, body and spirit. You become accountable to life and restore your soul balance. This is all that Spirit asks to keep you well and whole, but it is a constant process. It is a moment to moment commitment to the highest response to life in all things. Are you ready for that? Gather the resources and begin. This is your purpose. Everything has led you here to this – the path to the one great secret to the joy, peace, love and fulfillment you seek. Take off your shoes. The ground is soft and warm. The way is bright and clear. Begin and walk.
